Exhibited at Hibernia, March 2000.
We had a lot of fun with this one.
"So to Speak" was a playful visualization
of figurative expressions, with humorous interpretations of idioms from every day
life.
The idea for the show originated with the phrase
"Listen to Your Gut". It's something people often say, but when it came up
in conversation, this time it struck a new cord.
Randace Rauscher-Moore and I worked on this project, along with several models over a period of
3-4 months.

We went through a period of time
where expressions were constantly popping into our heads, where we'd immediately jot down
ideas for the next shoot. Sometimes Randace would call, and before even saying
hello, shoot out an expression like "Three sheets to the wind!"
