Around the nation, Americans have joined together during this time of tragedy to
show their support for the victims, survivors and rescue workers in New York
and Washington.
This mural is shown on the back wall of a business on Route 211 in Middletown,
New York. "It was such a large scale tragedy, we felt so helpless and wanted to do something.
So we did what we know, and that was to paint a mural of hope for all," said artists
Joseph Somma of Middletown and Matt Ahrendt of Pine Bush, N.Y.
