On September 11, 2001, thousands of lives were lost, hundreds of them brave souls who died
in rescue efforts. This tragedy touched the lives of thousands more who knew them
-- family, friends, love ones. An entire nation was deeply affected; work came to a halt
as people walked around in a daze for weeks afterwards, grappling with the incomprehensible.
In the wake of these events, many of us re-examined what we thought was "important",
renewing ties to community, and reaching
out to loved ones and those in need. Our Remembering 9/11 page
